Netizens have come to TWICE Jeongyeon‘s defense after she was targeted over her appearance.
Recently, TWICE were spotted at the airport heading to Japan before their Ready To Be Special tour dates.
As usual, fans and media photographed the members at the airport, and the photos were shared online. In a viral forum post titled “, a netizen shared such photos of Jeongyeon, initially seeming to show “concern” for her condition.
Instead of discussing Jeongyeon’s irritated eye, as some had already done, the OP attacked her overall appearance, comparing her to an older photo of herself.

In 2021, Jeongyeon went on hiatus due to a herniated disc and anxiety, gaining weight likely as a side effect of her medication. While most think she looks beautiful, she has unfortunately been a target of hate due to her different size.
While netizens can sometimes be harsh over beauty standards and those who do not fit them, many came to Jeongyeon’s defense.
- Leave it alone. It’s a health issue, something she can’t control.
