NewJeans are set to become the new face of Korean tourism.

According to reports on July 4, KST, NewJeans have been selected as the 2024 Honorary Ambassador for Korea Tourism by the Korea Tourism Organization. As a part of this role, the five members of the group will be working in collaboration with the KTO to promote inbound tourism to Korea.

NewJeans will be taking forward the baton of the Honorary Ambassador from Indian actress Anushka Sen, who was appointed in the same role by the KTO in 2023. Some other celebrities who have been bestowed with this role in the past include Brave Girls, actor Lee Jae Wook, and the virtual influencer Lizzie Yeo.
