Zico recently sat down for an interview with Billboard where he talked about his new song “SPOT!” featuring BLACKPINK‘s Jennie. Released on April 26, it was the first time the two artists collaborated on a project.
Though they only recently became friends, they grew closer quicker than expected.
In the interview, Zico even admitted that he was given the privilege of listening to Jennie’s upcoming solo tracks. He confirmed that more than one song was in the works and that she let him listen to their demo versions.

Zico had a positive reaction to them. Though he couldn’t spoil anything, he was able to share that there were several songs that he loved.

Besides this hint about her solo, Zico also raved about Jennie herself. He emphasized her sense of professionalism which was noticeable in the recording process and music video shoot.
Everything about her is charming. From vocals and visuals to acting, as well as her sense of professionalism in bringing the song to fruition—it’s all these things combined. But personally, I think it was her professionalism.

Earlier this month, Jennie confirmed that her new solo album is on the way.
I also have a lot more coming with my album, wink, wink. I hope everyone’s excited for that, too.
