“Incel behavior fr 😒”
On May 22, OH MY GIRL performed at the Sun Moon Balloon Festival, putting on a nearly half-hour-long show for the many university students in attendance.
Unfortunately, however, it’s not their performance that has caught the attention of netizens, but rather the disturbing behavior of the MC of the event.
From first glance, one might already notice that a large portion of the fans close to the stage appear to be men. While that’s not necessarily concerning on its own, considering the actions taken by the MC and some of the male fans after OH MY GIRL’s performance, it makes the whole situation more unsettling.
It turns out that the MC handed out the water bottles that the members had been drinking from during their performance as “prizes” for the male fans in attendance. Not only that, but apparently the “lucky” fans were able to come on stage and pick out which member’s water bottle they wanted to take.
While most of the below clip is blurred out, there are brief moments where you can see the MC and another man on stage seeming to choose which bottle he wanted.

Korean netizens are reacting to the whole interaction with shock, calling the behavior “disgusting” and sexual harassment.
- “What the heck…?”
- “This is a big deal.”
- “It needs to be reported.”
- “Is he crazy?”
- “What a disgusting idea…”
- “That’s disgusting 🤮🤮🤮 Isn’t it sexual harassment?”
- “They didn’t even get permission from the members.”
- “I’m disgusted.”
- “It’s disgusting, it’s really disgusting.”
- “Why do men do that?”
- “🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮”
International fans also shared similar sentiments.
Hopefully the huge negative reaction to this behavior will prevent it from happening again with OH MY GIRL or any other K-Pop girl group.
