During the interview part of the showcase, reporters couldn’t help but bring up the recent trending topic surrounding them and HYBE’s Bang Si Hyuk. Previously, HYBE’s founder had sent ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin some shocking text messages, telling her to “crush aespa.”

It quickly became an internet meme. It’s no surprise that aespa themselves have also heard about it. The reporter questioned if “the latest hot topic gave them pressure while preparing for their comeback.” Karina expertly replied in her easygoing manner, brushing it off with humor.
“We know all about the matter. Since it’s out first full-length album, we gave our all in practicing. We gained strength from the support and love [we received] and worked hard to prepare for it. I think it’ll be a satisfactory start with this first full-length album, so I am thankful for the public, as well as for our SM family and the members who have worked hard.”
